I had posted a macro here. What happened to it?

So you guys, I've been thinking of writing a histroy! fic or something of that sort with all of our favorite ice skaters :) What are some time periods that you would recommend me to write in? Also, would anyone else like to write one as well? I hope I'm not the odd one out.

Worlds starts in a few days!  Practices start tomorrow!  Not all the men have withdrawn, there are still some going... such as Daisuke Takahashi and Takahiko Kozuka (who left a few days ago):


Plus I'm pretty sure almost all of the major ladies are going to be there other than Joannie, right?

In addition to Something Wicked This Way Comes tonight at Spellbound we're doing listening party for the new Ego Likeness album, Breedless. AND we'll have the disc available for purchase (that's pre-release, ya dig?)

THE LOVELY pourtant FOUND A THREAD ABOUT LAST NIGHT'S THIN ICE. APPARENTLY THEY HAVE PEOPLE WHO KNOW THINGS~:

"I just spoke to upnights (likely a member of absoluteskating.com) on the phone. She was at the preview show today. She said Stephane and Shizuka came in FIRST PLACE in the online voting. They announced it at the show. GOOD JOB YOU GUYS!

"She said Stephane and Shizuka got to skate last as a reward for their 1st place finish, and the Beyonce routine was fabulous. She said Stephane and Shizuka seemed very relaxed and happy. Apparently the voters are smarter than the judges in this case."

FROM THE SAME SOURCE THO:

"the judges gave them 2 "8" scores (Kristi and Kat) plus one "7" from Dick for their Get me Bodied program. I don't think it counts for anything and it leaves room for improvement tomorrow. One of the judges told them they should spin near each other to look more like a pair."

So I decided to make a post to worship the greatness that is Irina Slutskaya, because even though ladies' skating is boring now, she is a fantastic skater who deserves our respect. It was also this free bitch who first got me into skating back in 2000.

Irina Eduardovna Slutskaya is an amazing Russian HBIC, two-time Olympic medalist, and one of the first ladies to rock the pants. She's pretty much considered to be the most successful ladies singles skater in Russian history. In her career, Slutskaya has won a total of 40 gold medals, 21 silver medals, and 18 bronze medals. THAT'S RIGHT, BITCHES

ETA 2ND VIDEO SHOULD NOW WORK FOR NON US PEEPS

I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for other lj communities or perhaps blogs/websites where FS is discussed in depth. In particular, I'm interested in getting behind-the-scenes information on how skating is lived/performed/judged everyday, rather than, say, somewhere to read up on where the SOI tour will be next week. (Also, in terms of lj comms, anything that included slash fics would be great.)
